Need For Value Education
 Our values are important because they help us to grow and develop.
 They help us to create the future we want to experience.
 Every individual and every organization is involved in making hundreds of decisions
every day.
 The decisions we make are a reflection of our values and beliefs, and they are always
directed towards a specific purpose.
 That purpose is the satisfaction of our individual or collectives(organizational)
needs.
Need For Value Education
 Value education also helps the students to become more and more responsible and sensible.
 It helps them to understand the perspective of life in a better way and leads a success full life as a responsible
citizen.
 It also helps students to develop a strong relationship with family and friends.
 Our values inform our thoughts, words and actions.
 Our values are important because they help us to grow and develop. They help us to create the future we want
to experience.
 Represents the interpretation of “Right and Wrong”.
What Are Human Values?
 They connected to our beliefs, attitude and feelings towards situations,things and
other people.
 Human values are closely associated to human life.
 They are drivers of actions and are found in all societies, cultures and places where
humans take out their lives.
 Human values are a set of consistent behaviours that guides human beings for doing
right and acceptable by the society.
 They attract respect, dignity, appropriateness among people.
What Are Human Values?
 Human values don't follow the typical laws of physical science and they can’t be
depleted.
 The best part is that human values multiply as they are applied,
used, expressed and acted out.
 They benefit both giver and recipient.
 They put your conscious in the state of ultimate peace.
Types Of Human Values
 There are five main human values that are found in all socities,culturals and religions:
 Truth (Satya)
 Right conduct (Darma)
 Love(Prem)
 Piece(Shanti)
 Non-Violence(Ahimsa)
 Basic Human Aspirations
 Education and Human Values
Truth
 It contains values like acquires, fairness, honesty, justices, quest for knowledge,
deamination etc..
 Learning to speak the truth is first and vital step towards formation of a strong
character.
 Lies often cause confusion in mind of the speaker and listener and it leads to Antia
social behaviour.
 A person how's speaks truth finds his way to ultimate goal of life with more peace
of mind.
 It can help you find answer to the most important question prompted to mankind.
Right Conduct
 Right conduct is living in a moral and ethical way in absolute sense rather than by
the standards of any particular time society.
 Contains values like self-help skills(modesty, self-reliance, hygiene etc.),social
skills(good behaviour, good manners, environment awareness etc.),ethical skills
(courage, efficiency, initiative, punctuality etc.) and ownership.
 Right conduct plays important role to build your personality and the confidence.
 Right conduct is closely associated to wisdom and compassion.
 People who act according to “Dharma” are likely to attain enlightenment and feel
satisfied in all situations of life.
Love
 Love is not an emotion that can be affected by the subconscious mind;
rather, it is a spontaneous, pure reaction that comes from heart.

 The power of love make people wish happiness for others and take pleasure in the
well-being of others.
 Love is an unconditional positive regard for the good for another.
 It flows irrespective of situations and conditions.
 Love is the prime element for the existence of nature.

Peace
 We smile when are happy.
 But what is the definition of happiness for you? Some may try to find happiness in
money, few others may run behind relations and the materialistic world.
 But the true source of the happiness is the peace and satisfaction in our mind.
 When the inner agitations stops, we are left feeling peaceful.
 Having peace within you can help you assure peace in your family, surroundings and
in the entire community.
 It can help you achieve calmness, self-esteem and freedom from anxiety.
Non-Violence
 When you start following the former four values in life; the conscious mind stays
keenly aware, love keeps on flowing, your actions are thoughtful and there is peace
in your mind; the life can be lived without harming others.
 The highest achievement of human life is to assure harmony in the nature, not
hurting others by thought, word, deed.
 Contains value like psychological(compassion, consideration, morality, forgiveness
etc.) and social (brotherhood, equality, perseverance, respect for others,
environmental awareness etc.)
Basic Human Aspirations
 We desired for many things in this life: materialistic needs, recognition, respect,
trust, love. But in all these forms, we actually aspire for true and continuous
happiness and prosperity.
Happiness: To be in the state of harmony or liking.
Prosperity: Feeling of living more than required physical facility.
 Most of the things in human life belong to two categories: Materialistic(Food,
shelter, cloths and physical facilities) and non-materialistic(trust, respect, happiness,
recognition, peace).
 People who understand the difference between need, wants and desires are truly
happiest, satisfied and in ultimate peace.
Education And Human
Values
 Education and human values are partners; there is no quality education without
human values.
 If you are leading a life without human values, you cannot make best use of your
education to serve the society.
 When education combines with humans values, it can show you the direction to a
fulfilling life.
 It brings a sense of responsibility and help you stay organized in life.
