 Temperature controlling is required in many places such as server rooms,
houses, industries, etc. So this project can be very useful in understanding the
basics, how you can control the temperature at your home. You can take this as
a DIY project which can be used anywhere. Here the Temperature controlled
fan will act to the temperature changes.
iNTRODUCTION

 Are we really worried about our home electrical bill due to the unnecessary consumption of electricity by fan, here is
the best solution to it. Often in summer days, we use a fan to make our room temperature falls to 25-26 degree
celsius i.e. normal room temperature. during the night the temperature falls still the fan is open and we feel cold and
at the same time, there is a waste of energy as well. So, in this tutorial we are going to make an automatic fan that will
maintain it's room temperatureLet's make our own automation of the fan. Eg:- Widely use in factory as in adjust fan
Contd.

we all know how electricity is waste in railways platform using fans and other electronic equipment so , we can uses a
concept of turn off/on fan concept , where sensor is used to detect the person sit on chair/sitting place no one is sit on
sitting place below fan then fan is off otherwise fan is on, that concept is really beneficial for less electricity
consumption .

APPLICATIONS

 Normally we use the regulator to change the speed of the fan. Here the room temperature changes the speed varies so that
according to the temperature the fan rotates.
 Fan off concept widely used in factories and industries in adjust fan , it helps us to save electricity power and consume less
electricity. Eg:-factories ,industries.

COMPONENT DESCRIPTION

 Arduino UNO: - The Arduino Uno is an open-source microcontroller board based on the Microchip ATmega328P
microcontroller (MCU) and developed by Arduino.cc and initially released in 2010.
 16X2 LCD: - 16×2 LCD display is a liquid crystal display that can show 16 characters in each of its two rows,
providing a total of 32 characters of information. It's commonly used to display alphanumeric
 12C Module: - I2C Module. I2C (Inter integrated communication) is a serial bus interface communication protocol
used in microcontrollers in embedded systems. I2C combines the best features of SPI and UARTs. I2C operates in two
modes, namely master and slave mode
 Bread Board: - A breadboard (sometimes called a plug block) is used for building temporary circuits. It is useful to
designers because it allows components to be removed and replaced easily. It is useful to the person who wants to build
a circuit to demonstrate its action, then to reuse the components in another circuit.
 RF Transmitter: - The radiofrequency (RF) transmitter is the generator of the radiofrequency current which is
delivered to the transmitting coil. This creates a signal which is used to excite protons in the imaging field.
Radiofrequency coils can be both transmitters and receivers of the radiofrequency signal or receivers alone.
 Temperature Sensor: - A temperature sensor is a device that detects and measures hotness and coolness and converts
it into an electrical signal.
Cont.

 IR Proximity Sensor: - Proximity Sensor are used to detect objects and obstacles in front of sensor. Sensor keeps
transmitting infrared light and when any object comes near, it is detected by the sensor by monitoring the reflected light
from the object.
 Battery: - A battery is a device that converts chemical energy contained within its active materials directly into electric
energy by means of an electrochemical oxidation-reduction reaction. This type of reaction involves the transfer of electrons
from one material to another via an electric circuit.
 RF Receiver: - RF receivers are electronic devices that separate radio signals from one another and convert specific
signals into audio, video, or data formats. RF receivers use an antenna to receive transmitted radio signals and a tuner to
separate a specific signal from all of the other signals that the antenna receives.
 DC Fan Motor: - Fan motors are DC motors used in computers or in a car. They are very simple in construction. They
consist of a synchronous or asynchronous electric motor, with a fan wheel of the associated shaft, and the connections for
the lines.
DISADVANTAGES

 In Fan speed controlling there is no power save due to fan moving all time.
 Highly cost effective Arduino.
 Arduino have Limited Security Features.
 Arduino have Limited Real-Time Performance.ecurityFe
 Our circuit has limited feature it control only fan not other electrical appliances.
Proposed work

Circuit has different component in which arduino uno is the main component of the project,
Arduino is connected with different circuit (like I2C, temperature IC, IR sensor ,RF module ,16*2 LCD, Power
supply) when temperature sensor sense the temperature 30 degree then it send signal to arduino uno for turn on
fan and between arduino and temperature IC we use bread board for common power supply and a LCD is
connection for show the information about temperature and LCD display connected with I2C module for using
less pin in arduino because LCD has 8 pin and after receiving signal arduino transmit a signal to RF mudule
and fan is on until tempereture is more then 30 degree and other railway plat form circuit working with IR
sensor ,IR sensor work with 0 or 1 when someone is present in front of IR sensor then it send a high signal to
arduino and after processing the signal arduino send the signal to RF module for turn on fan.
RESULT

In result project is working well for save electricity using arduino.

Conclusion

 In conclusion, Arduino for electricity savings offers a versatile and effective approach through various strategies. By
integrating sensors, actuators, and smart algorithms, Arduino can automate and optimize energy consumption in homes and
buildings. Whether it's controlling lighting based on occupancy, regulating HVAC systems for efficiency, Arduino
empowers users to make informed decisions and reduce electricity costs. Its flexibility and programmability make it a
valuable tool for implementing tailored energy-saving solutions, promoting sustainability, and fostering environmentally
conscious habits in everyday life. As technology evolves.
FUTURE SCOPES

• This project can be used in both the home and Industry. It helps in saving the energy and electricity.
• Prevents waste of energy when it’s not hot enough for a fan to be needed.
• Using fan power on/off concept we can save lots of electricity Eg:- railways platform
• In future case we can monitor more parameters like humidity, light and at the same time control them and also can send this data to a
remote location using mobile or internet.
