using sensor

Subject: Mini project

Subject code: 21CSMP67
Presented by: Aanchal kumari(1hk21cs002)
Anjelina tomy(1hk21cs023)
Under the guidance of: Professor S.Sarumathi
Abstract :-
 Introduction to the System: The smart door opening system employs advanced sensor technology to
enhance security and convenience.

 Key Components and Technology: The system integrates various sensors, including infrared motion
detectors, RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) tags, and fingerprint. These components work
together to identify and authenticate users, ensuring secure and seamless access.

 Operation Mechanism: When a user approaches the door, the sensors detect their presence and
initiate the authentication process.

 Benefits and Advantages: The smart door opening system offers numerous benefits, such as
increased security through multi-factor authentication, enhanced user convenience with hands-free
operation, and the elimination of lost or duplicated keys.

 Applications and Future Prospects: This technology is highly versatile and can be applied in
residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Problem Statement:-
Objective:-
 Enhanced Security: Implement advanced authentication methods to ensure only authorized
individuals can access the premises.

 Convenience and Accessibility: Provide seamless and user-friendly access options, such as
remote unlocking, automated opening for registered users to enhance user convenience and
accessibility.

 Real-time Monitoring and Alerts: Offer real-time monitoring of door status and activity, with
instant notifications.

 Energy Efficiency and Sustainability: Integrate energy-efficient components and features, such
as automated door closing and energy-saving modes, to minimize energy consumption.

 Customization and Scalability: Design the system to be easily customizable and scalable,
allowing for integration with other smart devices and systems, as well as accommodating
future upgrades.
Methodology:-
1.Requirements Analysis
Gather requirements through surveys and interviews.
2. System Design
Plan the system's hardware (sensors, locks, cameras) and software (mobile app, server)..
3. Prototyping
Build and configure hardware components.
4. Testing and Validation
Ensure all system functionalities work as intended.
5. Data Collection and Analysis
Collect feedback through surveys and interviews.
6.Monitoring
Continuously monitor performance, security, and user satisfaction.
8. Reporting
Summarize the project findings, challenges, and future recommendations.
9. Continuous Improvement
Regularly update the system to fix bugs, enhance performance, and add new features.
Implementation
requirements:-
 Smart Lock: Electronic lock that can be controlled remotely.

 Sensors: Motion sensors, door position sensors (to detect open/closed state).

 Camera: For video surveillance and user identification.

 Biometric Devices: Fingerprint or facial recognition sensors for secure access.

 RFID/NFC Reader: For RFID or NFC card-based access.

 Controller: Microcontroller or embedded system to manage device operations.

 Power Supply: Reliable power sources, including battery backup

Future enhancement:-
• AI and Machine Learning Integration: Use AI to enhance security by learning
user patterns and detecting unusual activity.

• Voice Recognition: Implement voice commands and recognition for hands-free

access.

• Advanced Biometrics: Incorporate advanced biometric authentication

methods like iris or palm recognition.

• Smart Home Ecosystem Expansion: Greater integration with broader smart

home systems and IoT devices.

• Enhanced Connectivity: Adoption of 5G for faster, more reliable remote access

and real-time monitoring.
