NAUKRI.COM :-

• Naukri.com is an online job portal started by Mr. Sanjeev Bikhchandani in March 1997.The Company has its
headquarter in Noida with employee strength of approximately 5000, operating through 56 offices in 42 cities across
India and overseas.

• Talking about Mr.Sanjeev’s background he owns an undergraduate degree in Economics from Delhi University and
after gaining some experience of corporate world he moved to IIM Ahmadabad for his post graduation.

• He quits a lucrative management job at HMM (now Glaxo Smithkline) to start off his own venture. The company first
started providing salary review reports. These reports consisted of data from various categories of professions like
engineering and management. Further these reports were sold to various companies as per their requirement.
MERITS OF NAUKRI.COM:-

• Apply to multiple jobs with a single click: As an unregistered jobseeker, you have to fill a form every
time you apply for a job. But, applying for your dream job will not take much time as a registered job
seeker. Since you would have already added all your information in 'My Naukri' Job Profile page, you
will get recommended jobs as per your skill sets and preferences. You can apply to these jobs with a
single click.
• Access unadvertised jobs: Naukri is widely used by recruiters and head hunters to meet their hiring
needs. As you might know, not every job opportunity is posted on the internet publicly. In fact, most
of the best opportunities are never posted on any job board or newspaper.
• Get best jobs delivered to your inbox: As a registered member, you will receive the best set of jobs,
which match your criteria. This list is customized for you, as per your current work profile, preferred
location, and future aspirations. But before we can do so, please tell us more about your career
preferences.
• Track job applications: You can track the status of your job application. You can clearly see recruiter
responses against total applications sent out. This gives a clear idea about progress made by your
resume.
DEMERITS OF NAUKRI.COM:-

• Competition: Due to its popularity, job listings on Naukri.com often attract a large number of applicants,
leading to stiff competition for positions.

• Spam Emails: Some users may receive a high volume of spam emails from recruiters or promotional
messages, which can be overwhelming.

• Limited Features for Free Users: While basic services are free, certain features, such as access to
premium job listings or enhanced visibility for resumes, may require a paid subscription.

• Quality of Listings: As with any job portal, the quality of job listings can vary, and users may encounter
outdated or irrelevant postings
INDEED.COM:-

• Indeed, Inc. is an American worldwide employment website for job listings launched in
November 2004. It is a subsidiary of Japan's Recruit Holdings and is headquartered in Austin,
Texas, and Stamford, Connecticut, with additional offices around the world. As a single topic
search engine, its central functionality is also an example of vertical search. Indeed is currently
available in over 60 countries and 28 languages. In October 2010, Indeed.com
surpassed Monster.com to become the highest-traffic job website in the United States.
• The site aggregates job listings from thousands of websites, including job boards, staffing firms,
associations, and company career pages. They generate revenue by selling premium job
posting and resume features to employers and companies hiring. In 2011, Indeed began
allowing job seekers to apply directly to jobs on Indeed's site and offering resume posting and
storage

• Overwhelming Job Options: The extensive range of job listings on Indeed can sometimes be
overwhelming for users, and finding the most relevant opportunities may require careful filtering and
sorting.
• Limited Direct Employer Interaction: Indeed primarily serves as a job board, and the platform may not
facilitate direct communication between job seekers and employers as comprehensively as some other
platforms.
• Competition: Popular job postings on Indeed can attract a large number of applicants, increasing

MONSTER.COM:-

• Monster.com the leading career-related Web site, was formed in January 1999 by the merger of
two online recruiting companies, The Monster Board and the Online Career Center. Both
companies were owned by New York-based recruitment firm TMP Worldwide, a publicly-traded
company with nearly $1.5 billion in annual revenue in 2001. Since 1999 Monster.com has spent
hundreds of millions of dollars to build its brand. With funds provided by its parent
company Monster.com also acquired other online job-search firms. For $100
million Monster.com entered into a four-year strategic relationship with America Online and
gained its own keyword there. Monster.com was TMP Worldwide's best-performing subsidiary,
and it claimed to be the only profitable business in its field.
