Introduction to
Computer Applications
A computer application, commonly known as software, refers to
a set of programs designed to perform specific tasks or
functions for end-users. These applications encompass a wide
range, from word processors and spreadsheet software to more
specialized programs like graphic design tools or database
management systems.
IN 21st century , we cannot imagine real life without computer
in any field. computer is very essential for us nowadays.by the
use of computer we feel whole world is allocated in the corner
of room . In other words , everything is possible with computer
but nothing is possible without computer. Therefore computer
are used in various field in our life such as home , business ,
education , medical field , entertainment, banking sector ,
agriculture, communication etc. some explanation are as
follow:-
1. Education :-

Computer plays major role in education fields for online


classes , online examination , online tutoring , along with
offline classes through projector. Computer helps to attract
the student and class make effective. Computer also provide
audio video learning , research , make documents , and new
evolving technologies.

2. HEALTH SECTORS :-
Computers in healthcare help doctors keep electronic
records, connect with patients through video calls, and
analyze medical images for better diagnoses. They also
power wearable\ devices that track health, assist in
managing medications, and streamline administrative
tasks. Computers make healthcare more efficient and
accessible while advancing medical research and training.
3. Bussiness and finance :-
In business and finance, computers are essential for managing
money matters. They handle tasks like recording transactions,
creating financial reports, and helping businesses plan budgets.
Computers also enable online banking, making it easy for
people to manage their money, pay bills, and invest. They play
a crucial role in making financial processes efficient and
accessible.
4. Entertainment:-
Nowadays, our technologies becomes advance on every sector . But in an entertainment every person

depends on computer device to play easy or hard game for eg. Ludoo , Call break etc. we cannot spend our

daily life without plying audio video . Computer used in various field on an entertainment sector such as

create animation , play audio video watch live performance, to play many online games like PUBG , FREE

FIRE ETC. Also computer games becomes very popular in children and kids which play in 3D version .

These also include sound and videos .

Along with computer is also used in music industry to create high quality of music and sound . On addition

also the musicians use music software tool create composition of music easily.

5. COMMUNICATION:-
Computers play a vital role in communication, transforming the way we connect and share

information. Email, a computer-based communication tool, enables swift exchange of messages

globally. Social media platforms, powered by computers, facilitate instant sharing of updates and

messages. Video calls and conferences, made possible through computer technology, bridge distances,

fostering real-time communication. Additionally, computer networks connect people worldwide,

enhancing collaborative efforts. Mobile messaging apps, running on computers, offer quick and

convenient communication. In summary, computers revolutionize communication, making it faster,

more accessible, and efficient, ultimately bringing people closer together.

Face-to-face communication, telephone calls, voicemails, emails, etc
6. Research and development :-
Computers play a pivotal role in Research and
Development (R&D), significantly expediting
innovation. They assist in simulations, modeling, and
data analysis, enabling researchers to test hypotheses
and explore complex scenarios efficiently. Advanced
algorithms on computers contribute to breakthroughs in
various fields, from medicine to engineering. Powerful
computing systems handle vast datasets, accelerating
the pace of discovery. Collaboration in R&D is
enhanced through computer networks, allowing
researchers to share findings globally. Overall,
computers empower researchers, providing tools and
resources that propel advancements, driving progress
and contributing to the forefront of knowledge in
diverse domains.
Challenges and Limitations of Computer Applications
