organic cosmetic face powder and the researchers
determined the effectiveness of rice as a face powder, as
well as, the side-effects of it on the skin. The respondents
of this study are Junior High School age 13 to 18 years
old above from grade 9 with 7 respondents
CHAPTER 3
RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODOLOGY
RESEARCH DESIGN

- The research used Quasi – Experimental research design as the researchers

are the respondents. This is the most appropriate or suitable research design
to this study because it Uses purposive process of gathering, analyzing, and
classifying of data. Also has adequate and accurate interpretation of data
even with or without the support of statistical treatment.

cosmetic face powder; .
DATA ANALYSIS PROCEDURE
• The researchers used a frequency and percentage distribution of sex, age and
types of skin of the respondents, to easily understand the data presentation of
the researchers. The respondents applied the cosmetic face powder to their
faces. After that, the researchers observed the effect of rice as a main
component of a pure organic face powder, to those who have an oily skin and

evaluated themselves if the rice a face powder reduced the dryness of their
skin. The effects also depends to the respondent’s age, sex and skin type.
STATISTICAL TOOLS
In analyzing the data, the following statistical tools will be used and utilized to extract
information and get valid analysis and interpretation of the data gathered.

1. Frequency Distribution
- This was used to show the frequency of occurrence of each possible outcome of a
repeatable event observed many times

2. Percentage
- This was a number or ratio expressed as a fraction of 100.

CHAPTER 5
SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS,
AND RECOMMENDATIONS
SUMMARY OF FINDINGS
• The aim of this study was to produce an organic face powder using
rice as a main component and to determine its effectiveness in terms of
oily and dry skin, color, odor, and texture. It was also observed if there
would be side effects such as swelling, itchiness, and redness. The
study had seven respondents and they have used Quasi Experimental
research design. The study was conducted at Barangay Lomidong,
Marawi City.
CONCLUSION
• Based on the result of the study, the researchers concluded that the rice
as a face powder is effective to those who have dry skin and oily skin.
The side- effect that the respondents have experienced was none. On
the basis of the findings of the study, these are the conclusions made,
the results of how effective the rice as a face powder in terms of oily
skin and dry skin in a matter of time showed that the rice as a face
powder is effective.
CONCLUSION
• The study showed that the oiliness of the skin can be reduced if you
use the rice as a face powder while using the rice as a main component
in a pure organic cosmetic face powder, it shows that using it for some
time, the side-effects that the respondents experienced was none. The
study determined that after using the rice as a face powder it makes
your skin smooth. The final outcome of the experiment showed that
the texture of the mix of rice and gumamela was not smooth enough to
be compared to the commercialized powder.
RECOMMENDATION
The study was effective in both oily skin and dry skin, but this study can still be improvised in terms of color, odor, and texture.

For future researchers, use some fragrance in order to improve the odor of the face powder.

For the future researchers, to make the texture smooth, blend it into a big grinder so that it can be more fine powder.

For future researchers, explore more about rice to make it face powder since the researchers used rice that is freshly harvested, also, they could use other components to mix with the powder.
