Network Topology Exercise C V1.

Overview

• You have been given the routing tables of six routers: Melbourne, Sydney, Perth,
Hobart, Darwin and Adelaide

• Given the information provided in each of the router’s routing table you will be
required to complete the following tasks:
1. Create a Network Topology Diagram, refer page 2
2. Answer questions, refer page 6, regarding the Topology Diagram and
Routing Tables

Task 1 - Create a Network Topology Diagram
1. Refer to the sample Network Topology Diagram Layout below, your answer must conform with the Drawing Symbols and Layout.
2. Refer to the Routing Tables, which contain the information needed to create your diagram.
3. On your diagram show the following:
a. all interfaces, serial, fastethernet and loopback, on each router
b. all Links - serial links between routers and links to LANs
c. all network addresses with prefix

a. List the routers that use EIGRP Sydney, Perth, Darwin

b. On Hobart how many static routes are mapped to exit interfaces and how many to next hop IP
addresses? Exit interface 2, next hop 2

c. List the routers that use only static routes Melbourne, Hobart

d. What is the IP address on S0/1/1 on Sydney router? 172.16.40.97

e. List the routers that learn their gateway via EIGRP Perth, Darwin

f. List the routers that use a static route to point to the gateway Melbourne

g. Which router is the gateway router? Sydney

h. Which router is the ISP? Melbourne

i. On Darwin what does [90/3193856] mean and on Hobart what does [1/0] mean?

j. On Sydney what does 00:08:59 mean? Time since last update
