What is the use of After Effects?
After Effects is a Digital motion graphics and compositing software.

Main purpose is for film and video post- production.


Motion graphics :

Motion graphics is a type of animated graphic design that uses text, images, and animation to
convey information in a concise way.

Compositing :

Compositing is the process or technique of combining visual elements from separate sources into
single images, often to create the illusion that all those elements are parts of the same scene.
Opening After Effects
Setting up a composition

Name your comp

Set width to 1920 set height to 1080

Frame rate dependant to project

Set comp duration

Choose BG color
Compositions and it’s features

Composition is a major building block

Known as comp for short

Layers are footage items that are added to a comp

- Shapes

Comps are live you can go back and alter it’s settings

Comps are non- destructive.
