HISTORY

The Cameroon Navy is the naval component of the Cameroonian Armed Forces.

 In 1961, creation of Cameroon Navy commanded by Lieutenant Germain from France

 In 1980, Lieutenant Commander Ngouah Ngally became the first Cameroonian


officer to command the navy until 2011 when he was already Vice-Admiral

 To date, the Cameroon Navy has more than 5000 well-trained men, available and
able to arm all types of warships.

MISSIONS

The scope of action of the Cameroon Navy extends over 590 km


along the coasts in the southwest of the country but also more
than 50 nautical miles off the Atlantic Ocean.
