Objectives
Wireless Security Network (WSN) has become an important issue as it
seeks high-speed operation these days. So, 5G/6G antennas may find the
solution for that purpose but it cannot be achieved without circular
polarization. The current scenario opens the door for modern researchers in
the microwave domain to take the below challenges to fulfill the recent
demands in the specified domain.
(i) To use the PIN diode precisely to operate in multiple bands.
(ii) To use soft, flexible, and thin substrates for the suitability of the
antenna in different applications.
(iii) To design Circularly Polarized antenna to catch the desired signal from
any plane and any direction.
Abstract
This research composition describes the design of a novel frequency
reconfigurable antenna using one PIN diode which can operate both in
5G and 6G communication. The switching between 5G and 6G bands
depends on the status of the PIN diode. The antenna dimension is
3mm×3mm×0.8mm based upon a soft, thin, and flexible polyethylene
substrate (ϵr=2.25). When the PIN diode is in ”OFF” status, it covers a
Super Wide Band (SWB) from 108.7 GHz to 165 GHz. In ”ON” status,
it gives a working band from 24.5 GHz to 40.4 GHz. The antenna has a
minimum efficiency of about 72% reaching up to 93.1%. A notable Gain
of over 4dB along with the circular polarization (CP) is also one of the
significant characteristics of the proposed antenna.

Conclusion
So, from the discussion of all the parameters of the antenna, it can be
said that the antenna has achieved all the challenges or objectives that
were targeted for. The proposed antenna is operatable in both 5G/6G
networks by switching ON/OFF a single PIN diode. The Axial ratio
under 3dB along with the RHCP and LHCP in different resonant
frequencies proves that it is Circularly Polarized to catch the signal from
every plane and every direction. The antenna can also be said highly
efficient to be used in 5G/6G. The small structure, tiny size, flexible
nature, thin and softness of the substrate also help it to work in any
place.
