Conclusion
Testing:
Process of checking someone's capabilities by putting them under a strain or a
technique to measure students knowledge by assigning them different tasks.
Subjectivity in assessment:
• It means that when you're tested on higher order learning skills, different
people might have different opinions on how well you performed. It can be
tricky to measure these skills because what one person considers a great
analysis or creative solution, another person might have a different
perspective.
Difficulty in measuring transferability:
• It refers to how well you can apply the higher order thinking skills you've
learned to different situations. Just because you've shown proficiency in one
specific context doesn't necessarily mean you'll be able to use those skills
effectively in a completely different scenario. It can be difficult to assess
how well you can transfer and apply your learning in new and unfamiliar
situations.
Technology for Testing H.O.L
Online assessment platforms:
These platforms allow for the creation of interactive quizzes, simulations, and
scenarios that can assess higher order thinking skills.
Artificial intelligence (AI):
AI-based systems can analyze and evaluate students' responses to open-ended
questions or complex problem-solving tasks, providing immediate feedback and
assessment.
Gamification:
Utilizing game-based elements in assessments can engage students and assess their
higher order thinking skills through interactive challenges and problem-solving
activities.
Collaborative platforms:
Online platforms that facilitate group work and collaboration can be used to assess
higher order skills like communication, critical thinking, and teamwork.
