Keyboard
 The keyboard is the hardware device of the computer
 keyboard is the main part of the computer through
which the user inputs the data in the computer.
 It is an input device.
 Similar to an electric typewriter, a keyboard is
composed of buttons used to create letters, numbers,
and symbols, and perform additional functions.

 Middle row or home row keys


 The row of keys on the
computer keyboard your fingers rest on when
not typing.
 For example, on the standard QWERTY United
States keyboard, the home row keys for your
left hand are A, S, D, and F and your right
hand are J, K, l, and ; (semicolon).

the spacebar.

the same manner for the ease of use for
typewriter users.
 This keyboard is the most common one used
by all of us .
Virtual Keyboard
 A virtual keyboard is essentially just software that allows
you to type without the need for actual physical keys.
 The way you to use this keyboard is with the use of a
touch screen featured in newer laptop releases and tablet
computers.
 The keyboard used in smartphones is called a virtual
keyboard.
 This keyboard appears when needed and disappears
when typing is completed.
Wireless Keyboards

 Everything is wireless these days.


 Computer keyboards are no exception.
 wireless computer keyboards that use three modern technologies
to connect:
1. infrared,
2. 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi,
3. Bluetooth.
Ergonomic Keyboard

 This keyboard is mainly designed for users who use both hands
for typing.
 The advantage of this keyboard is less muscle strain and carpal
tunnel syndrome for users.
 The keyboard is built with the view of ergonomics.
 This keyboard is expensive and not affordable for common
people.
Flexible Keyboards

 Flexible keyboards are, well, flexible.


 These are keyboards made from soft materials like
silicone that allow the keyboard to be folded or
rolled into a smaller size.
 Because of this, they are highly portable and is
sought after by many small computer and tablets
users who are constantly on the move.
Projection Keyboards

 The latest trend in handy gadgets is the


projection keyboard.
 In some ways, a projection keyboard is a
form of a virtual keyboard usable almost
anywhere.
 The technology depends on lasers to
display the image of a keyboard onto any
flat hard surface.
 Projection keyboards are very popular
among those who use smart devices
Backlit Keyboard

 In this type of keyboard there is a background light


which illuminates every key thus helping the user
to type even in the dark.
 They are an excellent choice for gamers who like
to play their action or adventure games in the dark.
 These types of devices make use of LED (Light
Emitting Diode) for illuminating the keys and are
much easier to use than normal keyboards.
Laptop Keyboard

 The keyboard used in a laptop is called a laptop


keyboard or QWERTY keyboard.
 The layout of the laptop keyboards is designed
according to the size of the laptop slightly different
from normal keyboards.
 The numeric keypad on the right has been removed on
the keyboard to make most laptops appear smaller.

 These keyboards are manufactured by Mac and are supported by
the battery.
 The design is good and makes everyone have the feel of the
keyboard.

 These keyboards are manufactured by Mac and are supported by
the battery.
