• Select “Ellipses Tool” and draw a circle (W: 170mm H:50mm).
• Object > Fill & Stroke then select “Stroke Paint” and select the X just
as shown in the picture below
• Fill the ellipses with radial gradient
• Click on the first color stop and change the color code at the bottom,
change it to “ddddddff”
• Click on the second color stop and change the color code at the
bottom, change it to “b2b2b2ff”
• Duplicate the ellipses and fill the new ellipses with a light grey color
code “f2f2f2ff”
• Duplicate one of the ellipses and fill it with another radial gradient;

• Select and duplicate the bottom ellipse and blur it 10%
NOW WE HAVE OUR SAUCER!
Step 2: Drawing The Cup
• Select the ellipse tool and draw a circle
• Select the bezier tool and trace the bottom half the ellipse.

Anchoring
Nodes

• Note : Click & drag to create a curve
• Fill the ellipse with a solid gray, color code “e6e6e6ff”
• Fill the cup face with a radial gradient.
• First color stop “ecececff” , Second color stop “bdbdbdff”
• Place the center of the gradient near the top edge of the cup face
• Duplicate the ellipse and make it a little smaller then apply a thin gray
stroke, color code “d6d6d6ff” and fill it with a radial gradient
• First color stop “ecececff” , Second color stop “bdbdbdff”
• Duplicate ellipse #1 twice
• Color the ellipse in the center brown like coffee

• Note : Click & drag to create a curve
• Fill your handle with a linear gradient;
• First color stop “bdbdbdff” , Second color stop “ecececff”
• Thin gray stroke, color code “d6d6d6ff”
• Draw an ellipse and duplicate it.
• Drag the bottom ellipse out like the picture below
• Select both circles then Path > Difference
• You should have a curved stripe like below, adjust according to your
cup and color preference.
• To create a reflection, draw a shape like the one below with the bezier
tool and change the opacity(transparency) to 40
• Create steam by:
• Draw an ellipse
• Fill it white
• Transparency 40 Blur 20
• Create a tail of steam by:
• Draw a shape similar to one below using the bezier tool
• Fill it white
