LAUNDRY CHEMICALS

Chemicals used for cleaning and in cleaning products,


such as laundry detergents, bleaches, dishwashing
products and other household cleaners, help
improve cleaning efficiency, making homes, offices and
other environments both easier to clean and more hygienic.

use the product if it is your first time to use it. Most of the
hazards experienced in relation to laundry chemicals are
due to any of the following reasons:
 Not reading or following the directions for use
 Failure to apply the right amount of chemicals
 Not wearing appropriate PPE.
 Failure to dispose of chemical receptacles appropriately

Removing Agents
TYPE OF STAIN CHEMICAL SOLUTION
Enzymatic: stain from grass, blood and May be removed using enzymes

Oxidizable: stain caused by coffee, tea, May be removed by using oxidizing
and wine agents such as bleach.
Greasy: stain from machine oil, cooking May be removed using surfactants
oil, dipping’s, and cuff or collar stains on
shirt
Particulate: stain caused by clay, mud May be removed by using builders
and ground dirt
