A reporting letter
Dear Mr. Jackson,
This letter is to inform you about the activities of the following employees. Mrs. Wilson is a clerk. She usually sells
perfumes and new cosmetic products. Right now she is making a list of the top ten perfumes. Mr. Jacob is the
security manager. She usually supervises the store cameras, but now she is training the two new security guards. Mr.
Manson is a telephone operator and right now he is helping at the online sales department because it’s Black Friday
and many people are buying online.

Grammar: 现在进行时 ( 描述正在进行的动作或可能性高的计划）
01 Form ( 结构）
(+) 主语 + 对应的 TO BE + 动词 ING (-) 主语 + 对应的 TO BE +
NOT + 动词 ING
Example: We are having a meeting with customers now, it’s important.
The manager is going on business next week: 可能性高的计划
02 Verb + ing principles ( 动词加 ing 的规则 )
1. 结音为 “ e”: write writing, incease increasing, have having, give giving
2. 结音为辅音，前面是元音 : get getting,, run running
3. 其他： talk talking, do doing
