INDUSTRY PROFILE
 India ranks top among cotton-producing nations of the world
including short- long-staple cotton.

 It addresses an enormous bit of the aggregate mechanical yield in
the nation reliably.

 This trading in like manner contributes towards mean outside pay of our
country and interfaces with a considerable number of people.
COMPANY PROFILE
 1930 - When the world suffered the great depression. Companies across the
globe began closing down. In UK and in India, the textile industry in
particular was in trouble.
 1931 - Arvind Limited started with a share capital of Rs 2,525,000
($55,000).
 1934 - The sales in the year, three years after establishment were Rs 45.76
lakh and profits were Rs 2.82 lakh.
 1980 - In the mid of this year the textile industry faced another major crisis.
 1987&88 - Arvind entered the export market for two sections -Denim for
leisure & fashion wear and high-quality fabric for cotton shirting and
trousers.
 1997 - Arvind set up a state-of-the-art shirting, gabardine and knits facility,
the largest of its kind in India, at Santej.
 2005 - This year was a watershed year for textiles.
 2014 - Currently the company is operating 1,100 stores, which is likely to go
up to 1,300 this fiscal, adding that about 90 per cent of stores are profitable.

LEARNING EXPERIENCE
 I have done the organization study of U. S. Polo Assn which is the largest growing
textile industry in India.

 This internship tenure was four weeks has helped me in developing my research,
gathering, interpreting, analyzing, and presentation skills and utilizing t h e m in
a n effective way, which can help me in growing personally as well as
professionally in the corporate world.

 To conclude, this report has given me a practical exposure to the study of the
organization, it was a great experience where I learned many things about the
functioning of an organization in accordance with the present market trend.
