Internet of Things(IoT)

Introduction
 Describes the network of physical objects-”things”—
 That are embedded with sensors, software, and other
technologies for the purpose of connecting and exchanging
data with other devices and systems over the internet.
 IoT is a sensor of network of billions of smart devices that
connect people , systems and other applications to collect and
share data.
 It may be ordinary household objects to complicated
industrial tools.
Internet of Things(IoT)
How IoT works
 Sensor in every device
 Every device emits data regarding working states of things
 IoT provides platform to all devices to dump their data
 IoT platform collect and analyze the data
 Valuable information is extracted
 And information is shared to other devices for decisions
making or information
Internet of Things(Iot)

IOT benefits
Real time information
Help in monitoring the overall business
processes
Help in improving the experience of the
customer
Save time and money
Productivity of employee will increase
Internet of Things(Iot)
The technologies that make IoT possible
Sensors and actuators
Connectivity technologies .
Cloud computing
 Big data analytics
 Security and privacy technologies
Internet of Things(Iot)
Examples of IoT applications

Healthcare
Manufacturing
Retail
Agriculture
Transportation
Internet of Things(Iot)
The future of IoT
The future of IoT is promising, with many exciting
developments for businesses on the horizon. Here are some
of the trends and predictions for the future of IoT:
Growth
 Edge computing
Artificial intelligence and machine learning
Blockchain
Sustainability
Internet of Things(IoT)
Risks and challenges in iot
Security and privacy risk
Interoperability issues
Data overload
Cost and complexity
Regulatory and legal challenges
Internet of Things(IoT)
How should businesses approach IoT?
Managing IoT devices can be a complex and challenging task, but there are
several best practices that businesses can follow to ensure that their IoT
devices are secure, reliable and optimized for performance. Here are some
tips for managing IoT devices:
 Plan your IoT strategy
 Choose secure IoT products
 Monitor and maintain devices
 Manage data effectively
 Build an ecosystem
Internet of Things(IoT)

Conclusion
 The Internet of Things (IoT) has come a long way since
its inception over a decade ago.
 What started as a simple concept of connecting devices
to the internet with limited applications and
questionable security has evolved into a complex
network of interconnected devices and systems that are
changing how we live and work.
