An important first step and is often the gateway

to a fuller life in the Spirit.
We should all desire and ask for the gift of
tongues
• Begin by just praising God in your own words. Then start speaking out
in tongues.
• Focus on the Lord and offer to him your utterances as prayers of
praise. Do not analyze the sounds or focus on the experience
• Resist the temptation to think that it is just you and not the Holy Spirit
forming the sounds.
