Understanding the Cost Object Framework

 Upon creation of a new Cost Object, the system automatically creates a new entry in
mapping table FINS_CFINT_ASGMT:

1. Category and ID of
object in source 2. Category and ID of
system object in central system

Understanding the Cost Object Framework

 Scenario can be re-used for multiple source systems

 Think twice (at least) before generating the mapping table from the scenario definition
 Mapping table is client-dependent. Mappings are maintained in configuration client
 For the eligible characteristics, MDG mappings are performed following the Cost Object
mapping (e.g. for controlling area, company code, profit centers, …)
 For consistent deletion of replicated Cost Objects (including mappings), use tx
CFIN_CO_MAPPING_DEL only!
