INTRODUCTION
• Power quality has become very important issue in the
market. It is very important to protect our electrical
devices against different faults occurring in system.
• Now a day software based protection system is
coming in the market and becoming more efficient
and reliable.
• In this project, an experimental system based on
Arduino microcontroller board was developed for
measuring electrical quantities overvoltage and
undervoltage conditions in a power supply system.
AIM AND OBJECTIVE
• To achieve the aim and objectives of this work,
the following are the steps involved
• Study of the previous work on the project so
as to improve it efficiency.
• Draw a block diagram.
• Design and calculation for the device was
carried out.
• Studying of various component used in circuit.
SCOPE OF STUDY
• The scope of a project for an Over Voltage and
Under Voltage Monitoring System using
Arduino Uno and an LCD would typically
encompass several key aspects, including
hardware design, software development,
testing, and documentation.
METHODOLOGY
• For successful completion of this project some
steps will be followed to carry out different
tasks. Power fluctuation was burning issue as
we saw in Maharashtra electric power utility
during internship program.
PROJECT PLANNING
• The project plan given below shows the
progress of project work and detailed
activities to be carried out throughout the
year for the completion of project work.

CIRCUIT WORKING
• The potentiometer is adjusted to set the threshold levels
for over-voltage and under-voltage.
• The analog pin A0 of the Arduino reads the voltage level.
• The voltage level is then converted to an actual voltage
value.
• The LCD displays the voltage value along with any over-
voltage or under-voltage alert messages.
• If the voltage exceeds the over-voltage threshold, it
displays "OVER VOLTAGE!" on the first line of the LCD.
• If the voltage falls below the under-voltage threshold, it
displays "UNDER VOLTAGE!" on the first line of the LCD.
• If the voltage is within the acceptable range, the first line of
the LCD is cleared.
HARDWARE REQUIREMENT
• The hardware of the experimental system is designed to measure
electrical quantities monitor overvoltage and under voltage conditions in
single-phase power supply.
• Various components used for constructing the device given described as
follows
• Aruino Uno Potentiometer
• LCD Display Light Emitting
Diode
