TEACHER’S SIGN: BLOCK DIAGRAM OF COMPUTER A block diagram is a diagram of a system in which the principal parts or functions are represented by blocks connected by lines that show the relationships of the blocks. INPUT UNIT An input unit, in the context of computer hardware, is a device or component that allows data or instructions to be entered into a computer system. This can include devices such as keyboards, mice, touchscreens, scanners, and other input devices that allow users to interact with the computer and input data. The input unit is an essential part of the overall computer system, enabling users to communicate with the computer and provide the necessary information for processing. CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT (CPU) Central processing unit (CPU), principal part of any digital computer system, generally composed of the main memory, control unit, and arithmetic-logic unit. It constitutes the physical heart of the entire computer system; to it is linked . various peripheral equipment, including input/output devices and auxiliary storage units. In modern computers, the CPU is contained on an integrated circuit chip called a microprocessor. MEMORY UNIT Memory unit is also called storage unit . It stores data and instruction which are entered through input device. It stores intermediate result of processing. Memory unit also stores the final result of processing before these result are passed to an output devices. Memory is of mainly two types they are : Primary memory Secondary memory OUTPUT UNIT An output unit is a component of a system or device that is responsible for producing or displaying information or results. In the context of computing and technology, an output unit can refer to a variety of devices such as monitors, printers, speakers, or any other hardware that presents the processed data from a computer or electronic device in a human-readable form. In the context of a broader system, an output unit could also refer to any component that produces a tangible result or output based on input or processing.
