Child labour refers to work performed by children that harms them physically, mentally, morally, or prevents access to education. Many children work in hazardous conditions in agriculture or manufacturing. They are supposed to be in school developing themselves. The main causes of child labour are poverty, abuse, lack of access to education and healthcare, and uncaring attitudes of employers. Proposed solutions include increasing family income, providing education and skills training, social services to help families in crisis, and access to birth control.

Increase family income.
Education-that helps children learn skills that will help them earn a living. Social services-that help children and families survive crises, such as disease or loss of home and shelter. Birth control -so that families are not burdened by more children.
