NANOROBOTICS
Nanorobotics is the programmable assembly of nm
scale components either by manipulation with
macro or micro devices ,or by directed self
assembly.
Design and fabrication of nanorobots typically
ranging in size from 0.1-10 micrometers.
Programming and coordination of large number
of(swarms)of such nanobots.
The main element used will be carbon in the form of
diamond /fullerene nanocomposites because of
the strength and chemical inertness of these
forms.

INTRODUCTION TO
NANOROBOTS
⬜ Nanorobots are the controllable devices measured
on the scale of nanometers to perform the tasks in
both medical and industrial fields.
⬜ Technique like Atomic force microscopy are being
employed to establish a visual interface & to
enable us to sense molecular structure of these
nano scaled devices.
⬜ They are made of Carbon atoms in a diamond
structure & light elements such as
hydrogen,oxygen,nitrogen,silicon,etc;
⬜ They are so tiny and have super smooth surface.
⬜ The nanofactories would use nanoscale tools
capable of constructing nonorobots with exact
specifications.
STRUCTURE OF NANOROBOTS
⬜ It has a wide range of sensors to
navigate through human body
and fast molecular identification.
⬜ It may have powerful transport
subsystem to deliver molecular
systems.
⬜ Wide range of computer guided
nano manipulator also required.
⬜ It may have broadcasting system
which can connect to other
nanorobots and macro
computers.

changing the direction of
movement.
⬜ PROPELLER:
Like that in nanorobots it is used to
drive forward against the blood
stream
⬜ FINS; Fitted
along with the propellers used to
propel the device.
⬜ SENSORS;
Fitted externally and internally with
the nanorobots to receive the signal
movement direction
APPLICATIONS

•NANOROBOTS INTO HUMAN BODY

• The nanorobots gets access into the body through a large diameter artery so that it
may be without being too destructive in the first place. The microscopic machines
roaming through the bloodstream take samples for identification and determining the
concentration of different components.

•Nanorobots in cancer treatment

• The traditional radiation treatment not only destroys the cancer cells but the healthy
human cells causing hair fall, fatigue, nausea, depression and many other
symptoms, but nanorobots detects only infected cells and destroys them

CONCLUSION
⬜ Risks are among the inevitable negative factors
that accompany the positive benefits of new
technology .The human race cannot move
forward if we become afraid of the
consequence.
⬜ Hopefully, the positive benefits will outweigh
risks and negative side effects,as nanorobotics
use the results of their research to develop
scientific procedures that mitigate risks and
minimize negative effects.
