to the counter and state their order. The restaurant must manually take the order.
The absence of a well-established web app ordering system to the staff, waiter,

time in making the transaction reports thereby increasing efficiency in the creation
and analysis with regards to the standing of the business which is usually based on

convenient for both the customers and the staff. A system that, in response to
pandemic precautions, aims to increase restaurant sales by offering a digitized and
modernized approach for ordering meals from the restaurant with less physical
touch.
To make a mini recommendation system for the web application that will display
the customers' typical order based on their prior orders.
To make a web-based ordering system that allows customers to order food online
both inside and outside of the restaurant.
OBJECTIVES
To create an inventory system that can keep an eye on the products being sold
through the web application to prevent stock shortages.
To create a scheduler for the restaurant's event reservations, which will let
customers know if the restaurant is catering an event and cannot accommodate
walk-ins, as well as to let them know about restaurant holiday specials.
To be able to generate transaction reports so that the owner won't have to do it
manually.
To automate digital backup of the data to have a secure archive of restaurant's
business information.

limited knowledge that the researchers have acquired for it to be conceived.
Payment transactions will be limited to gcash transfer and on-site payment.

facilities and aides restaurants in their management system.

enthusiastic with the presence of the web-based food ordering system. According
to Herikson and Kurniati (2019), web-based ordering system can save time and
costs on the customer’s side. Moreover, payment methods in the system facilitate
customers in paying their orders.
Technical Background

webpage in the web app.
CSS - This will be used in styling and also in defining the layout of every
webpage in the web app.
BOOTSTRAP – this is a front-end development framework that is used in making
web applications.
Laravel Framework – this is a PHP web framework that is used in making web
applications.
WAMP Server - This will be used in testing the web app in order to assess if the
app is ready for deployment.
Peopleware
Admin- This person will be the only one to run the system by creating, updating,
editing, and maintaining its accurate data.
Staff- This person will be the only one to run the system by creating, updating
with permission of the Admin.
Currently Munting Hapag restaurant has no social media page and also a website
which equates to no online presence.
Due to pandemic, the number of customers decreased.
At this moment, the restaurant still employs manual recording of inventory which
in turn, adds to their workload.
Lastly, the restaurant is located in a remote area which is a problem because not a
lot of people are familiar and acquainted with it thereby requiring a channel
making the restaurant’s presence be known to the public.
Wish to solve
The researchers wish to solve the abovementioned problems which are no online
presence, small number of customers, manual recording inventory and located in
remote area.
Since the business has no online presence, the researchers will create a website
application for the restaurant. Also, the researchers will purchase a domain that
will help in broadcasting the website application that can attract more customers
for the restaurant.
The researchers will create an inventory system to help manage the list of items,
and in tracking the list of items being used. The website application will be
published on the internet by purchasing a domain.
The researchers will create a mini recommender system that will help in providing
insights to the owner about the popularity of an item.
