WEAKNESSES / THREATS
 Online learning is rely on internet access.
This is a significant issue in rural areas.
 As the lockdown is suddenly implemented ,
the institutes were closed and most of the trainees
reached to their villages .
 They were not aware about the necessity of internet
access and Android Mobile .
 Sudden lockdown and economic problems felt most
of them helpless .
This was the most prominent issue in the online
learning process .
WEAKNESSES
 The result of this obstacle in the online learning was
that near about 40 to 50 % trainees were excluded
from this process .
 Some of the Instructors feel uncomfortable with this
change and working with new e- learning
Technique and Technology .
 It became a barrier to offer quality education .

included 70 % of curriculum time on practical .
So only theoretical syllabus contents are covered
through online learning .
Still it is difficult to impart practical and skill training.
 It is found that students are bothered of tremendous
study material provided to them in various modes .
 There was lack of exactness and standardization .
WEAKNESSES
Somewhere there was no control system to check the
standard and efficacy of the content of study material .
 The most important precondition of online learning is
that the learner must be self motivated , mature , self –
discipline , possesses of a good time management and
should keep up with the pace of the course .
 It is an inappropriate learning environment for ITI
students .
WEAKNESSES
The freedom in e- learning process seems to be
affected the attendance and performance of the

 It has also affected the responsibility and discipline
due to lack of face to face monitoring for each student.
 Less number of rules and regulations for standards
and quality in E- learning affected inversely to its
effectiveness .
WEAKNESSES

Lastly the transformation of traditional learning

method to E- learning and replacement of tools
causes psychological effects such as fear of
unknown, lack of confidence at both the side –
Teaching and Learning
OPPORTUNITIES
 The effect of CORONA and Lockdown enable to
think that in the future offline i.e. regular and online
classes are to conducted on 50 -50 percentage basis .

 The main opportunity finds in the students .

 our students who belongs to Gen Z . Gen Z learners

(i.e. born between 1997 and 2010 ) are born in the
digital era and are familiar with computers, mobiles,
multimedia content and internet based activities .
OPPORTUNITIES
 Now it is the right time to move some part of the
classes to a different platform , introduce E- Learning
and develop learner autonomy .

The Covid -19 lockdown has enabled teachers to

become creative They can now plan thoroughly the
syllabus and create E – learning materials in the
regional languages and share it to students for in-
depth study .
OPPORTUNITIES
 Scope for some rules and regulations for
standardization for effective use of E- learning tools
and methodology .

 Scope for instructors training program to utilize the

technique and technology of E- learning .
OPPORTUNITIES
Following the norms of social distancing in future also

50 -50 formula for attendance of trainees for alternate

days may be followed .
 Trainees at home in alternate days should be well
equipped with all facilities like Android mobile and
internet accessibility .
Realizing the inevitability of E- learning , loan facility
for purchasing the Mobile may be provided to
trainees.
OPPORTUNITIES
 In order for an online program to be successful the
curriculum , the facilitator ( i.e. Instructor ), the
technology , and the students must be carefully
considered and balanced
In order to take
full advantage of the STRENGHTS of this
E - learning and at the same time avoid the pitfalls
