The Loss of Innocence.

When selecting books for children, developmentally suitable

materials should be the primary factor taken into account.
Teachers have to make sure that the language is elegant, the scene
isn't gory, and the characters are kind. It is not appropriate to
expose leaners to the harsh facts of life.

The majority of fairy tales feature women as constant recipients of

masculine rescue, which raises concerns about the portrayal of
males as powerful. It is assumed that women are domesticated.
Males possess strength, force, intelligence, and domination, while
women have small roles to play, such as pleasing men. Learners
should be exposed to stories that demonstrate gender roles with
respect, emphasizing the equitable treatment of men and women.

• Stories expand children’s horizons by confronting them with “aspects of

human behavior and possibility”
• Gleitzman says at around seven or eight years old, kids enter a “magic
time”.
• Be aware that reading helps youngsters form their personal identities,
which they begin to form in their early years. However, problems such
as these arise because their parents instinctively shield children from
the reality of society. Parents need to "open up to their kids learning
about [sensitive issues] because they are a huge part of how children
develop" .
• Children can learn about the feeling of grief after a loss by using books
as a tool.
