Packaging
Creative ways of packaging the household linens are
important to attract quite number of customers. It plays
an important role in marketing the product. Sometimes
the decision of the customers in buying the products will
depend on its label and presentation. The designs of
labels are helpful in selling the products because they
attract the buyers through them.
The packaging may in fact be your selling
proposition. Most customers are attracted to buy the
products because of the packaging.
Here are other reasons of packaging the household linens:

1. To protect from dirt, stains, scratches, and from being disfigured which can
affect the quality of the product;
2. To make for easy transport because products are in the containers;
3. To help identify the products because the package contains the labels and
information about the product inside the package; and
4. To have product sales appeal because an attractive, clean,
neat, and decent-looking package can entice customers to
look into the product which can be the first step in buying
the product.
Proper packaging of one’s product is important
as it is the first thing the customer will notice
about the product.

of plain wrapping paper.
 Packages for household linens are usually made of transparent plastics with cartons or
thin cardboards.
 The container usually has a flap to seal the product inside.
 Sometimes special packaging materials are used to keep the items being sold in good
condition all the time. It keeps out dirt and moisture while the items are kept in storage
until they are sold.
 Common packing materials are made of papers, plastics, cardboard, or even indigenous
material such as local fibers like sinamay.

PROFIT a financial gain, especially the difference between the amount


earned and the amount spent in buying.
The standard percentage of mark-up is 20% but it could be
higher or lower depending on several factors. These are the
considerations to take in deciding how much profit you will end
up with. Among these is the prevailing market price of the same
or similar goods in the market. How much are they selling
them? What is the quality of similar products in the
market? Are they made of the same quality materials as
yours? More importantly, are the products fast moving or
are they difficult to sell?

sell your products.
Online Selling – is a form of electronic commerce which allows
consumers to directly buy goods or services from seller over the internet
using a web browser, or a mobile app. It is the most in demand type of
selling nowadays because of the pandemic and easy access of the
customers using phones and internet.
Monitoring and keeping records of sales and production of the product
is the best way to know if you are earning or not. To keep tract of the status
of the products there is a need to make regular inventory on a regular basis
like monthly inventory, quarterly and or annually. The inventory gives a
detailed description on the household linens sold.
