 SolidWorks is 3D mechanical CAD program developed by USA
solidworks corporation.
 SolidWorks is a subsidiary of Dassault systems.
 Dassault System is the company behind SolidWorks
 SolidWorks provides engineers , designers and other creative
professionals design the world’s greatest products.
 SolidWorks is used in a wide range of industries, including automotive,

What SolidWorks can Do?
 Modeling: Modeling refers to the process of creating three-
dimensional (3D) virtual representations of objects or systems
within the SolidWorks software
 Simulation: simulation refers to the process of using virtual
testing and analysis tools to evaluate the performance of a
design under various conditions before physical prototypes are

 Visualization: refers to the process of creating realistic and

compelling visual representations of 3D models or assemblies.

 Load analysis: refers to the process of evaluating the


effects of external forces, pressures, or other loads on a 3D
model or assembly.

 Animation: animation is a feature that allows users to create


dynamic visual representations of their designs.
