Is a copy of the email message sent to an addressee

addresses given a single name or entity.
Newsgroup/Message Board

A newsgroup is an online discussion about a particular


topic. Users participating in a newsgroup posts a
message called article. Other users read and reply to the
article.

Different types of Websites


Portal
Is a website that offers a variety of Internet Services from
single, convenient location. It offers free from services like
a search engine; sports and weather; Web publishing
reference tools such as yellow pages, stock quates, and
maps; shopping; and email and other communications
services.
News
A news website contains newsworthy material
including stories and articles relating to current
events, life money, sports and the weather.
Informal
An informal website contains factual information. The
website of the government agencies is information
website because they provide information such as memo,
order, directives, budget allocation, events, and others.
Wiki
A wiki is a collaborative website that allows users to
create, add, modify, or delete the website content via
their web browser. A popular wiki is Wikipedia, a free
web encyclopedia.
Business/Marketing

A business/marketing website contains content that


promotes or sells products or services. This website is
also equipped with a customer-handling facility to
communicate with costumers.
Blog
Short for weblog, a blog is an informal website in a diary or
journal format, usually listed in reverse chronological order.
A blog reflects the interest, opinion, and personalities of the
blogger (Author). Sometimes, it also reflects the comments
of its visitors.
Entertainment

An entertainment website offers an interactive and engaging


environment. Popular entertainment websites offer, music, videos,
sports, games, ongoing website episodes, chat rooms, and more.
Content Aggregator
A content aggregator is a business that gathers and organizes web
content and then distributes, or feeds the content to subscriber for
free or a fee.

A content aggregator is an individual, organization or tool that


collects web content and applications from different online
sources for reuse. Content aggregators do not produce their
own original content.
Online Social Network

An online social network, or a social networking website,


is a website that encourages members in its online
community to share their interests, ideas, stories, photos,
music, and videos with other registered users.
Educational

An educational website offers interesting avenues


for formal and informal teaching and learning.
Advocacy
An advocacy website contains content that describes a
cause, opinion, or ide. These websites usually present
views of a particular group or association. This website is
best avenue to connect to sponsors and donors of the
advocacy cause.
Web Application
A web application or web app is a website that allows users
to access and interact with software through a web browser
on any computer or device that is connected to the internet.
Google Docs, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations
are also an example of this.
Personal

An individual, celebrity or not, may maintain a


personal web page or website for different
reasons. Personal website is one of the easiest
and fastest types of websites to put up.
E-commerce
Electronic commerce is a business transaction that
happens over an electronic network such as the
Internet. It is m-commerce or mobile commerce, if
the business transaction takes place using a mobile
device.
