It involves the arrangement of text, images, and other visual elements to
optimize legibility, clarity, and ease of use for the user.
This includes factors such as font size, color contrast, screen brightness,
and viewing distance, which can affect visual comfort, efficiency, and
accuracy of work.
Effective visual display design is important for reducing eye strain,
fatigue, and errors in visual tasks, and promoting productivity and user

Importance of Ergonomics in
Visual Display:
I. To ensure that the use of electronic devices or screens is
comfortable, safe, and healthy for people.
II. Poor ergonomics in visual display can lead to a variety of health
problems, such as musculoskeletal disorders, eye strain and
fatigue, and headaches and migraines.
III. On the other hand, good ergonomics in visual display can
provide several benefits, including improved comfort and
productivity, reduced risk of injuries and illnesses, enhanced

Proper Viewing Distance: The distance between the eyes and the
screen should be approximately an arm’s length (about 20-40
inches) to reduce eye strain and fatigue.
