    At the end of 60-minute period, the students
    are expected to:
    a. identify the ingredients used and follow the
    steps in preparing clubhouse sandwich;
    b. prepare a clubhouse sandwich; and
    c. appreciate the importance of preparing
    clubhouse sandwich.
    Club house sandwich
    -is a popular multi-decker sandwich,
    made of three slices of white bread and
    filled with sliced of ham, mayonnaise,
    lettuce, tomato, cucumber and
    scrambled egg cut into two or four
    triangles.
    Layers of the earth
    The crust is the outside layer
    of the earth and is made of
    solid rock, mostly basalt and
    granite.
    The mantle lies below the
    crust and is up to 2900 km
    thick. It consists of hot, dense,
    iron, and magnesium- rich solid
    rock.
    The core is the center of the
    earth and is made up of two
    parts: the liquid outer core and
    solid inner core.
    ‘Mise en place’
    is a French term which means
    “set in place” that is all the
    ingredients have been prepared
    and the tools and equipment are
    ready before cooking is started.
    -Important reminders-
     Observe cleanliness
     Remove all your hand accessories
     Wash your hands properly before and after
    the preparation
     Wear complete personal protective
    equipment(PPE)
     Proper handling of tools should be observed

    • 3 slices white bread
    • Sandwich spatula • mayonnaise
    • serrated knife • 2 leaves lettuce
    • chopping board • slices of tomatoes
    • plastic gloves • slices of cucumber
    • cocktail sticks • slices of ham
    • mixing bowl and other • slices of cheese
    containers • cooked scrambled egg
    Steps in Preparing
    Clubhouse Sandwich
    1. Place the 1 slice of
    bread on a clean work
    surface.
    2. Spread it with
    mayonnaise, just enough to
    cover one side of this slice of
    bread.
    3. Put lettuce on
    top of it.
    4. Put cheese on
    top of the lettuce.
    5. Add the
    cooked ham.
    6. Add the slices
    of tomatoes.
    7. Put another slice
    of bread on top.
    8. Spread with
    mayonnaise.
    9. Put on top of it the
    cooked scrambled
    egg.
    10. Add lettuce
    again.
    11. Cover with
    another slice of
    bread.
    12. For finishing,
    place toothpicks on the
    sides of the sandwich
    to hold it together.
    13. Cut the sandwich from
    corner to corner onto
    triangles. Each triangle will
    have a toothpick through the
    center to hold them together.
    14. Place on a plate
    with the points up.
    ASSIGNMENT
    Make an album of atleast 5
    different menus of a
    clubhouse sandwich with
    pictures.
