RAM – RAM stands for Random Access Memory.

Difference Between RAM and ROM

RAM ROM

• It stores the data and instructions • It holds the instructions permanently

temporarily. to boot the computer system.

It is needed because the internal storage of a computer is insufficient to store a large amount of data and instructions.

HARD DISK – It is main secondary storage device

OFF (represented by 0). These two digits are called Binary digits or Bits.
1 Byte = 8 Bits
Byte is a unit of measurement computer’s memory
8 bits = 1 Byte
1024 Bytes = 1 Kilobyte(KB)
1024 KB = 1 Megabyte(MB)
1024 MB = 1 Gigabyte(GB)
