WALLPAPER DEPLOYMENT

To deploy a wallpaper
lets create a folder first,
go to file explorer and
click the drive you want
to create a folder
Right click inside it and
click “New” and click
the “Folder”
and Rename it to your
preferred name
When done creating and
naming your newly
created folder, right click
it and click “Properties”
Click the Sharing Tab
Click “ Share…”
Click the drop down bar
and click “Everyone”
then click “Add”
Change its permission
level to “Read/Write”
When done, click
“Share”
Click “Done”
Click “Advance
Sharing…”
Click “Permissions”
Click “Everyone” and
click “Remove”
Click “Add”
Type “Authenticated
Users” then click “OK”
Make sure the
permissions are on full
control, or make sure the
allow mark boxes are full
of checks,
then
Click “Apply”
Click “Apply”
Open the folder you
created
Make sure the folder you
created has a picture
inside it to be use as
wallpaper,

Do not Forget the name


and the type of the
picture you putted inside
the folder you created we
will use that later
Then right click the
folder you created and
click “Properties”
Go to Sharing Tab
Copy the Network Path
of the folder you created
Go to Server Manager,
Go to “Tools” and click
“Group Policy
Management”
Right click your OU,
then

Click
Name your GPO depends
on what you want
Right click on the GPO
you created and click
“Edit”
Below “User
Configuration” click the
small triangle beside the
“Policies”
Click the small triangle
beside the
“Administrative
templates”
Click the small triangle
beside the “Desktop”
Below the “Active
Desktop” click the
“Desktop”
Then right click the
“Desktop Wallpaper” and
click
Edit”
Choose the “Enabled”
On the “Wallpaper
Name:” paste the
Network path of the
folder you created that
has a picture you wanted
to be use as Client’s
Wallpaper
After pasting the network
path of the folder,
include or type the name
and type of picture of the
picture you wanted to use
as Client’s Wallpaper

Network Path

Type of Image
Example: (NETWORKPATH)\NameOfTheImage.TypeOfImage

\\Server\wallpaper \ picture1 .img


Name of the
image
When done, Click
“Apply”

Choose what type of


wallpaper style you want
here
Click “OK”
“GPUPDATE /FORCE”
YOUR CLIENT’S PC IN CMD
Search CMD then click
“Command Prompt”
Type “gpupdate /force”
Type “Y” then Enter
Sign in
Wallpaper Deployment is
Successful when your
client’s wallpaper has
change and it change to
the image you inserted
on the folder you created.
