MANAGE ELEMENT

› This MO is the top MO in the MOM. A management application will

communicate with the ManagedElement MO for the purpose of
monitoring and controlling it.

› This MO is created automatically and cannot be deleted.

› The RDN of this MO is ManagedElement=1.

ATM VIEW
› The ATM view displays information and parameters needed to manage
to ATM.

› PDH and SDH Transmission as well as MSP1+1 Protection are

included. It shows ATM and ATM based user plane configuration and
gives an overview of the UNI-SAAL Profiles and Termination Points.

› The synchronization MO shows references for network synchronization

and the system clock state of Timing Unit boards.

IP STACK VIEW
› The IP Relations view displays configuration and status information for
IP resources on the node. It includes folders with different stacks where
both parentchild relations and reference attributes are used.

› The IP Access Host ET, GPB and SPB folders display the availability
status and operational state up to PlugInUnit level.

› It is possible to see the relationship between the host and the ET

boards via the IpInterface MO.

ATM STACK VIEW
› The ATM Relations view displays information of configurations and status information
for ATM resources on the node. It includes folders with different stacks where both
parent- child relations and reference attributes are used.

› The ATM AAL TP part contains the AAL0, AAL1, AAL2 and AAL5 stacks up to the
ATM port.

› The ATM VCL TP folder contains a VclTp MO and its parents. Below the VclTp MO
there is a chain of references and parents. The view shows the relationship between
logical and physical connections on the node.

› The ATM Port folder contains information starting from an ATM port to the logical
connections using this ATM port.

› The ATM Cross Connect part contains information about which incoming vcl that is
connected to which outgoing vcl.

NODE STATUS ANALYSER
› The NSA application is used by network personnel to get an
overview of the state of an individual network element.

› The NSA application also contains a Cabinet Viewer

application which details the physical layout of a Radio Base
Station (RBS).

CABINET VIEWER
› The Cabinet Viewer provides the user with a tool to easily pinpoint a
hardware fault in the RBS causing traffic disturbance.

› When the user receives an indication that the service in the radio
network is degraded, the Cabinet Viewer can be launched to quickly
and easily identify the problem.

› From the Cabinet Viewer the user can:

– Restart the RBS

– Restart a selectable object
– Lock or unlock a selectable object
– Test a selectable object
– Refresh the RBS information
– Save details
– Save logs

› Note: Each of the above actions affects or stops traffic.
