Queuing Management System1

This document provides an overview of the Quirino State University Enrolment Queuing Management System. The system aims to [1] create a centralized and dynamic queue to improve service efficiency for students, [2] reduce overcrowding and queue jumping, and [3] generate reports on the number of students served and staff transaction records over time. It will provide sequential numbers to students upon arrival and manage queue flow and service times. The system was designed using Agile Development Methodology, with phases for planning, development, testing, deployment, and operations.

INTRODUCTION
QSU Enrolment Queuing Management System, the enrolment System
is intended for the Staff of the Registrar Office and for their clients at the QSU-
Diffun Main Campus. Queuing System focuses for managing students in
enrollment process such as queuing, monitoring of student balances in their line
and keeping the clients track records of transactions. This system will manage
the line queue and it will help in controlling the student’s flow. It makes faster for
students to pay at the cashier and process their transactions at the registrar
office.
Enrollment Queuing System is designed to be used by Quirino State
University Diffun Main Campus for managing the flow of students. The said
project will be installed in the queue areas to control the flow of the students.
OBJECTIVES
The study aims to develop a Queue System for Quirino
State University Diffun Main Campus. Specifically, the
following are the specific objectives:
1. Develop a queuing system that will support the
service efficiency to the students by creating a
centralized and dynamic queue.
2. Develop a queuing system that will reduce the
avoid overcrowding, and to avoid jumping queues.
3. Generate statistical reports that will provide
complete information in terms of:
a. The time and the number of students
served for queuing process.
b. Stuffs efficiency result in terms of
keeping a transaction records.
4. Develop a dynamic queuing system that
can address different transactions and needs.
CONCEPTUAL PARADIGM
SCOPE AND DELIMITATION
The study covers Quirino State University Diffun Main Campus (QSU) that focuses
on the issue of overcrowding in queue, queue jumping, and students spend more
time in queue or waiting time because of the mixed transactions and services during
enrolment. This system will provide a sequential priority number to the students
upon arrival, it will manage the flow of queued area, and recording arrival time and
service time were done automatically. Through this system, it will help to lessen the
long waiting time through:
• Identify the number of students served in a specific time.
• Providing a priority lane and number to the students who come earlier from
the queued area.
• Notifies students through voice call or text reader from the device.
• Display the sequential number through the screen monitor.
The proposed system was designed as web-based application intended for QSU-
Main Campus.

CHAPTER III.METHODOLOGY
Software Development Methodology
The researchers used Agile Methodology Development
(AMD) in developing the system. AMD focuses on developing
new functionality of a system base on the review of feedback of
end user. MAD is one of the usable methodology in developing
system, where the process and tools are going on at the same
time .As shown below, the figure shows the process that the
researchers used in developing the system .five phases which
are the Ideation, Development, Testing, Deployment and
Operations.

• Plan – In this phase the researcher’s conduct a backlog for listing the

task, and materials to support the strategic plan.

• Deliver – in this phase is the process of getting a software product to

the end user and make further suggestions and feedback that must be

provide in upgrading the proposed system

• Collaboration – the process of collaborating plan and deliver to conduct

a daily review and iteration until it met the desired function.
