What is machine learning algorithms

• A machine learning algorithm is the method by which the AI system


conducts its task, generally predicting output values from given input data.
• Machine learning (ML) is a type of artificial intelligence (AI) that allows
software applications to become more accurate in predicting outcomes
without being explicitly programmed to do so. Machine learning
algorithms use historical data as input to predict new output values.
• The two main processes involved with machine learning (ML) algorithms
are classification and regression.
Regression AND Classification

• Regression and Classification algorithms are Supervised Learning


algorithms. Both the algorithms are used for prediction in Machine
learning and work with the labeled datasets. But the difference between
both is how they are used for different machine learning problems.
• The main difference between Regression and Classification algorithms
that Regression algorithms are used to predict the continuous values
such as price, salary, age, etc. and Classification algorithms are used
to predict/Classify the discrete values such as Male or Female, True or
False, Spam or Not Spam, etc.

• With the rapid growth of big data and availability of programming tools like
Python and R – machine learning is gaining mainstream presence for data scientists.

continue to improve over time with minimal human intervention as they learn with
more data.

Supervised machine learning algorithm searches for patterns within the
value labels assigned to data points.
Unsupervised Machine Learning Algorithms

• These machine learning algorithm organize the data into group of clusters
to describe its structure and make complex data look simple and organized
for analysis
Reinforcement Machine Learning
Algorithms
• These algorithms choose an action based on each data points and later
learn how good decisions was overtime the algorithm changes strategy to
learn better and achieve the best rewards
