Computer Network

A computer network connects multiple computers together to allow for sharing of resources and information. The first computer network was ARPANET, which enabled the efficient sharing of data between users. Computer networks provide benefits like scalability, internet access, entertainment streaming, and real-time communication between connected devices regardless of physical location. There are different types of networks including local area networks (LANs) that connect devices within a single building, metropolitan area networks (MANs) that connect multiple LANs within a city or region, and wide area networks (WANs) that connect offices, data centers, cloud applications and storage across large geographical areas.
