Starting of covid-19
• First case of Novel Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) was reported in December 2019 in Wuhan
city of China.
• On January 30, 2020, the WHO ( World Health Organization ) declared the COVID-19 outbreak a
global health emergency.
• On March 11, 2020, the WHO declared COVID-19 a global pandemic, its first such
designation since declaring H1N1 ( Swine Flu ) influenza a pandemic in 2009.
• In October, the WHO reported that one in ten people around the world may have been infected, or
780 million people , while only 35 million infections had been confirmed.
• Symptoms :-
fever , cough , tiredness , loss of taste or smell , headache ,
difficulty breathing or shortness of breath ,
loss of speech or mobility.
Spreading of covid-19
•The COVID-19 pandemic, has spread to more than
180 countries including China .
•It's confirmed that Novel Coronavirus cases
increased ten-fold in less than a month.
•From 100000 people affected in the first week of
March to more than one million on 02 April, while
more than 52000 deaths have been reported across
the world.
•Europe has become the new epicentre of
coronavirus.
•More than 90% of global COVID-19 cases are
currently outside of China.
CURFEW

• PM Modi , while addressing the nation on


coronavirus outbreak, announced a 'Janta
Curfew' on Sunday
• PM Modi requested all the citizens to abide by
the 'Janta Curfew' on March 22 from 7am till
9pm.
• During the 'Janta Curfew', people are requested
to avoid public spaces and stay home for 14
hours.
• People working in essential services such
as police, medical services, media, home
delivery, firefighting and serving the nation etc.
will not need to take part in the 'Janta Curfew'.
Life Style During
Lockdown
• What is Lockdown?
A lockdown is a restriction policy for people or
community to stay where they are, usually due to
specific risks to themselves or to others if they can
move and interact freely.

•The 1st lockdown in India was started from 25th


March 2020.

•The lockdown has changed everyone's daily life.


Completely as they are stuck in their house.

•Bereavement, isolation, loss of income and fear


are triggering mental health conditions of many
people.

•Many people may be facing increased levels of


alcohol and drug use, insomnia and anxiety.
• After 1st lockdown people is getting again careless, don`t maintain the
COVID Protocol .
• State Govt. declared LOCKDOWNN once again from 15th May to 30th May,
2021.

• Restriction :-
• Shopping complex, Malls, Beauty parlous, all entertainments places
shall remain close.

STARTING OF 2
• Only Bazaars & huts shall be allow to remain open during 7am to
nd 10 am .

LOCKDOWN • Emergency service are allow to open 24 hour. Bank & ATM will open
10am to 2pm .
• School , College will remain close.
• Metro, Bus will totally stop.
• Lockdown Extend :-
• State Govt said, It`s not a lockdown or curfew. It`s a restriction to
control this Pandemic situation for Public concern.
• Staff special train ,metros ,bus , private cars are allow with 50%
seating capacity but must with maintaining the covid protocol.
• On 7th June , state govt announced board exam for class 10 & 12
cancel.
• What is vaccination?
• Ans : Vaccination is a simply, safe and effective way of
pretesting our body against any type of harmful disease.
• Why Vaccination is important?
• Ans : Vaccination trains our immunity to create
Antibody and makes our immune system stronger .
Vaccination
• India’s 1st COVID-19 Vaccine – COVAXIN , Developed by
Bharat Biotech gets DCGI approval for Phase I & II Human
Clinical Trials .

• India stated COVID-19 vaccination in the country from


16th January , 2021
Immunization In India
• 7 Vaccines Approved for Use in India, but covaxin & covidshield
are mostly used in India.
• People are getting vaccinated gradually.
• In a population of 138Cr,India is successfully immunize
• 100Cr people which is almost 73% of its population.
• In between 12-17 years 35%,18-34 years 41%,35-49 years 54%,
• 50-64 years 69% & above 65 years 91% of people are vaccinated.
• 56.9% of the world population has received at least one dose of
• a COVID-19 vaccine.

• FACT: The side effects of vaccines have been observed in a few


• people. But these side effects do not last long. Common side
• effects include fever, body ache and soreness at the injection
• site. Vaccination cannot cause any serious complications.
SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant
v The Omicron variant of COVID-19 has been called a variant of concern by WHO based on the evidence that it has
several mutations that may have an impact on how it behaves.
v The Omicron variant has now been detected in many countries around the world. WHO reports that Omicron is
probably in most countries.
v According to the data by the Ministry of Health, the Omicron variant, which was first identified in South Africa
exactly a couples week ago, has been detected in at least 30 countries, including two cases in India.
v Covid-19 Active Cases India Dec 22 updates:
v India has so far reported over 200 cases of the Omicron
• variant of Corona virus.
v According to a CDC analysis of the first 43 cases
• investigated in the U.S. People with COVID-19 can
• report a wide range of symptoms, with cough and
• loss of smell emerging as two frequent indicators of
• the virus.
v The head of India’s Covid-19 task, Dr. V K Paul, said there is no requirement for the imposition of any lockdown.
Instead, he said that with the emergence of Omicron, it has become even more critical to strictly adopt the ‘universal
vaccine’ — that is the wearing of masks
