Features of Tekla Structures
 Modelling generation
 Generating complex structures such as staircases, trusses

 Catalog of welds, bolts and reinforcements
TEKLA USER INTERFACE

1. If you are starting a completely new project, you will only see the default model view and an empty
grid at this point.
2. Global coordinate system
3. Represent the work area u have to work within that area
4. Xyz axis
5. File menu where u have to manage the model save and everything
6. Ribbon menu cpntains all the commands
7. Quick acess toolbar
8. Upper righ corner shows you are signed in and licence status
9. If u cant find commands it is quick launch menu
10. Use the side pane on the right side of the screen to check instructions for the currently
active ribbon command, view objects properties, add reference models and
components, attach point clouds, use custom inquiry, or to find direct access to Tekla
Online services.
11. The work plane handler toolbar controls which work plane you currently have in use in
the model.

13. The snap switches control which positions you can pick when creating objects.

Modify grid and grid line properties in drawings

 To modify grids, use the Select grid selection switch, and to modify grid
lines, use the Select grid line selection switch.

 Tekla Structures displays grid properties or grid line properties, according to


your select and double click on grid

 The Visibility option Visible shows both grid lines and grid ion. labels in the
drawing. If you want to see the grid labels only, select Only grid labels
visible.

 Modify the grid line and grid label properties as required.You can grid line
colour ,font properties and length etc

 In Placing, select which grid labels you want to show.


TYPES OF GRIDS IN TEKLA
STRUCTURES
 You can create both rectangular and radial grids and modify their properties
in the property pane.

 Edit tab, click Grid > Create rectangular grid>Radial grid
