    Brother In the Land

    Character Sketch of Ben
    Ben is one of the main characters of the novel ‘Brother
    In the Land’. He is the youngest in the lodge family, five
    years old. He has an elder brother, Danny. Ben is a more
    beloved one in his family, but Danny does not like him.
    Danny thinks his brother is a mere incident. Ben is a fun
    and energetic boy, as we can get this from when he
    unintentionally broke the game boy while playing with
    his best friend, Craig. Ben is like an apple of his parents.
    We observed in the story that Ben is a very courageous
    boy, as he dealt the nuclear attack and his mothers
    death with very braveness. He is more brave and
    courageous from his age.
    Character Sketch of Rhodes
    Rhodes, one of the significant characters of the novel
    ‘Brother In the Land’. At the start of the story we got to
    know that Rhodes is Danny’s PE teacher at school.
    Danny does not like Rhodes. When there was nuclear
    attack we got to know that Rhodes was an active
    member of the MASADA group. But unfortunately at
    the end he turns out to be selfish person who deceives
    the MASADA. Rhodes was a good strategist as he told
    the students how to deal with the nuclear attack. He is
    a good leader of MASADA, he led a successful ambush
    into the CDT.
