Exp and Log

The document discusses exponential functions of the form y=ax. It defines exponential functions, sketches graphs of common exponential functions, and lists properties such as asymptotes and behavior as x approaches positive or negative infinity. It then explains these properties, provides examples of graph transformations, and derives the special relationship between the functions y=ax and y=f'(x) when a equals the base of the natural logarithm, e, approximately 2.718. Finally, it asks questions about identifying exponential functions and sketching a transformed graph.
