PAST SIMPLE

Sudaromas:
1) Taisyklingai -ed (work – worked (dirbo))
a) live – lived (gyveno)
b) try – tried (bandė) – kai prieš y būna
priebalsė
stay – stayed (liko) – nesikeičia, kai
prieš y būna balsė
c) stop – stopped (sustojo), travel – tra-
velled
2) Netaisyklingai:
sing – sang (dainavo), have – had (turėjo),
go – went (ėjo)...

I didn’t lived (negyveno)

I didn’t go (nėjo) NOT didn’t went

Didn’t = did not

Did you get up early? ~ Yes, I did. No, I didn’t
NOT Did you got up early?

Why did you go early?

NOT Why did you went early?
Past Simple naudojame:
- veiksmui/veiksmams, kurie vyko nuolat,
pasikartojo (He usually played tennis)
- Įvyko žinomu laiku praeityje (I bought a car
a month ago)

Dažnai naudojame su žodžiais yesterday,

last week, one year ago, in 2005, etc.
