This document presents a project to design and construct a prototype for a solar tracking system with a single axis of freedom. The goal is to increase solar panel output and efficiency by maintaining a perpendicular orientation to the sun's rays throughout the day. Objectives include increasing energy yield by 22-56% compared to fixed panels and maximizing power per unit area. The methodology develops a strategy for a low-precision, high-efficiency tracking mechanism and control system. Tests found the tracking system prototype increased efficiency by 31% over fixed panels. The conclusions discuss applying the design to residential installations in Brazil.

Project Title : Solar Tracking System

Abstract Simulation or Experimentation

Of all the renewable energies, solar energy is the only energy gained
its popularity and importance quickly. Through the solar tracking
system, we can produce an abundant amount of energy which makes
the solar panel’s workability much more efficient. Perpendicular
proportionality of the solar panel with the sun rays is the reason
lying behind its efficiency. Pecuniary, its installation charge is high
provided cheaper options are also available. This project is discussed
all about the design and construction mechanism of the prototype
for the solar tracking system having a single axis of freedom

Objective
 The main goal of tracking systems is to increase the energy yield,
which according to previously conducted research and studies
ranges between 22% and 56% compared to a fixed solar system
 Increase Solar Panel Output .
 Maximum efficiency of the panel
 Maximize Power per unit Area.
 Able to grap the energy through out the day .
