INTRODUCTION
A pipeline blockage detection rover is a cutting-edge
technology employed in the oil, gas and sewage sector to
ensure the integrity and efficiency of pipelines. These
rovers are designed to navigate the inner workings of
pipelines, providing critical insights into their condition
and identifying blockages or potential issues that can
disrupt operations.
LITERATURE REVIEW
Pipelines are critical infrastructure components in industries such as oil
and gas, water supply, and chemical processing. Maintaining the integrity
of pipelines is of utmost importance to prevent leaks, blockages, and
other issues that can lead to environmental damage, safety hazards, and
economic losses. In recent years, pipeline inspection rovers have emerged
as invaluable tools for the early detection of pipeline problems. This
literature review aims to summarize and analyze key findings in the field
of pipeline inspection using rovers.
Pipeline inspection rovers have become indispensable tools in
maintaining the integrity of pipelines across various industries.
Their ability to detect blockages, corrosion, leaks, and other
problems has greatly improved safety, efficiency, and
environmental protection. Continued research and development
in robotics and sensor technologies will likely lead to even more
advanced and capable pipeline inspection rovers in the future.
OBJECTIVES OF PROJECT
Objective 1: To evaluate the effectiveness of pipeline inspection rovers
in early detection and prevention of pipeline problems, including
blockages, corrosion, and leaks, with a focus on their impact on safety
and environmental protection.
