• Self-Instructional module - accepted
strategy for self-learning and
enhancing the knowledge.
• It refers to self-contained written
material which can be used by the
students for self learning.
Definition

• “An instructional module is a self


contained and self-sufficient unit of
instruction for the learner to achieve a
set of objectives.”
Purpose of SIM
