Week 10 Analysis, Preesentation,& Interpretation of Data

This document discusses the process of analyzing, presenting, and interpreting data collected during research. It explains that data analysis involves identifying patterns, relationships, and insights from the collected data. Researchers then present their findings through visuals like tables, charts, and diagrams or through narrative descriptions. Finally, data interpretation derives meaning from the analyzed results in relation to the research questions.

Week 10: Analysis, presentation &

interpretation of data

 Data analysis involves examining the

collected data to identify patterns,
relationships, trends, and other
meaningful insights.
 The specific methods used for analysis
depend on the research design, the type
of data collected, and the research
questions.
Data Presentation

 Once the data is analyzed, researchers

need to present their findings in a clear
and organized manner.
 Effective data presentation helps convey
the results to others, making it easier for
them to understand and interpret.
Common ways to present
data
 Tables and Charts: Tabular formats, bar graphs, line
graphs, pie charts, and scatter plots are used to visually
represent data. These visuals make it easier to compare
and contrast information.

 Figures and Diagrams: Flowcharts, diagrams, and other

visual aids can help explain complex relationships or
processes.

 Narrative Descriptions: Researchers often provide

written explanations of key findings, trends, and
patterns observed in the data.
CLASSIFICATION OF DATA

 Qualitative
( kind)
 Quantitative
 Geographical
 Chronological
Data Interpretation

 It involves deriving meaning and

significance from the analyzed data.
 It's the process of explaining what the
findings suggest in relation to the
research questions and hypotheses.
FINDINGS

 are the original data, quantitative or

otherwise, derived or taken from the
original sources and which are results of
questionnaires, interviews, experiments,
tests, observations and other data
gathering instruments.
4 ELEMENTS OF IMPLICATION, INFERENCE, OR
INTERPRETATION

 Statement of the Condition or Situation

 Probable cause of the condition
 Probable effects of the condition
 A veiled suggestion for continuance or remedial
measure, if the possible effect is bad.
