Program Outcomes
Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering
PO1 fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering
problems.
Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze complex engineering
PO2 problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural
sciences, and engineering sciences.
Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and
design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate
PO3
consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental
considerations.
Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research
PO4 methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis
of the information to provide valid conclusions.
Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and
PO5 modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering
activities with an understanding of the limitations.
Program Outcomes
The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to
PO6 assess societal, health, safety, legal, and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities
relevant to the professional engineering practice.
Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering
PO7 solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and
need for sustainable development
Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and
PO8 norms of the engineering practice.

Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or

PO9 leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.

Communication: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the

engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and
PO10
write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give
and receive clear instructions.
Program Outcomes
Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and
PO11
understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply
these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage
projects and in multidisciplinary environments.
Life-long learning: Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and
PO12 ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context
of technological change.
Program Specific Outcomes

Understand the concepts and applications in the field of

PSO1 Communication/networking, signal processing, embedded systems and
semiconductor technology.

PSO2
Design the analog and digital systems for given specifications and
functions.
Bloom’s Taxonomy
• Cognitive: This is the most commonly used domain. It deals with the
intellectual side of learning.
• Affective: This domain includes objectives relating to interest,
attitude, and values relating to learning the information.
• Psychomotor: This domain focuses on motor skills and actions that
require physical coordination.
Bloom’s Taxonomy
Bloom’s Taxonomy

•Before you can understand a concept, you must remember it.

•To apply a concept you must first understand it.
•In order to evaluate a process, you must have analyzed it.
•To create an accurate conclusion, you must have completed a
thorough evaluation.
Course Outcomes
At the end of the course, the student will be able to:

CO1: Understand the fundamentals and operations of Semiconductor

diode, Bipolar Junction Transistors , Operational amplifiers, and 555
timer IC.
CO2: Apply the knowledge in developing different circuit applications
using a diode, Bipolar Junction Transistors, Op-amps, and 555 timers.
CO3: Design and Develop different analog and digital circuits for
engineering applications.
