• Menu Bar : At the top of the working screen, we have a ribbon that has many different menus for
making a different type of adjustment in this software.

• Toolbar: It is below the Menu bar of this software. In Toolbar, we have some important tool that will
help us make the different types of models in this software.

USER INTERFACE- VIEWPORTS
The working window area is divided into four viewports.
Viewport means a part of a working window into which you can see your object from different sides.
There are four viewports in the working area of this software
• Top viewport in which you can see your object from the top of your object
• Front viewport in which you can see your object from the front side of your object
• Left viewport in which you can see your object from the left side of your object
• Perspective viewport in which you can see the 3d model of that object.

• On the right side of the working area
of this software, there is a Common
Panel in which there are some tab
for creating models, characters in
our design. Create tab
• In Create tab, there are different
commands tab for making 2d shape,
3d shape with them such Box,
Cylinder, Line, Circle, etc.

Modify tab
• Next to Create tab, there is Modify tab for making any modification in the
drawn 2d or 3d shape of any model.

USER INTERFACE- TIMELINE


• At the bottom end of the working area of this software, there is a Timeline section for animating models
of 3d modeling design. In the Timeline section, there are some handling tab for animating our models in
this software.
USER INTERFACE- RIGHT CLICK OPTIONS
Transform quadrant-These options are available from the Transform quadrant:

Move-Lets you move objects. This is the same as clicking Select and Move on the main
toolbar. You can open the Transform Type-In by clicking the icon to the right of Move on
this menu.

Rotate-Lets you rotate objects. This is the same as clicking Select and Rotate on the
main toolbar. You can open the Transform Type-In by clicking the icon to the right of
Rotate on this menu.

Scale-Lets you scale objects. This is the same as clicking Select and Scale on the main
toolbar. If one of the other Select and Scale flyout buttons is active on the main toolbar,
that tool becomes active when you click Scale on the quad menu.
You can open the Transform Type-In by clicking the icon to the right of Scale On this
menu.
Placement-Lets you move and rotate objects with respect to other objects in the scene.
This is the same as clicking Select and Place on the main toolbar.

Select-Lets you select objects.

Select Similar-Automatically selects objects similar to the current selection.

Place Pivot Surface-Lets you place a working pivot by clicking any surface including
the grid.
Clone-Lets you clone objects. This is the same as choosing Clone from the Edit menu.
USER INTERFACE- RIGHT CLICK OPTIONS
End Isolate
Exits Isolate mode.
Unfreeze All
Unfreezes all frozen objects.
Freeze Selection
Freezes the selected objects. Frozen objects are visible in the viewports, but
cannot be manipulated.
Unhide by Name
Displays a version of the Select from Scene dialog, letting you choose
objects from a list to unhide.
Note: You cannot unhide an object on a hidden layer. If you select and object
on a hidden layer, a dialog will prompt you to unhide the layer first.
Unhide All
Displays all hidden objects.
Hide Unselected
Hides all visible objects that are not selected. Hidden objects still exist in the
scene, but do not appear in the viewports or in rendered images.
Hide Selection
Hides the selected objects.
Lets take a BOX --
• Middle mouse button hold and move –PAN
• Middle mouse button hold + ALT and move –ORBIT
• CTRL + Middle mouse button hold + ALT and move –ZOOM IN/OUT
• SIMPLE SCROLLING of Middle mouse button–ZOOM IN/OUT
• If object has blue edges all around –Object is currently selected
• W- MOVE (on any of the axis)
• E- Rotate(on any of the axis)
• R- Scale
• CTRL+Z – Undo
• G-Hide Grid
• W+ Shift and Drag- COPY
(specify no. of copies)

• Scene explorer –
• Freeze object/unfreeze object (also available on right click)
• Hide Object/Unhide Object (also available on right click)
• Isolate Object ALT+Q

• To change the theme of the working screen of the User Interface of this software. For changing the theme of
the screen, go to Customize Menu of a Menu bar, which is at the top of the working screen of this software. A
drop-down list will be open. Click on the ‘Custom UI and Default s Switcher’ option of the drop-down list.

Enable the ‘Convert
local file paths to
Relative’ option of this
box. You have to enable
this option because when
you open a file of this
software anywhere else
in other software, then
all the material used in
this software will also be
the same in that software
and then press the Ok
button of this dialog box.
