Domain and Range

The document discusses domain and range of functions and relations. It provides examples of finding the domain and range of various relations and equations. The key points are: - Domain is the set of first coordinates or inputs. Range is the set of second coordinates or outputs. - When finding domain and range, restrictions like radicals with even indices having non-negative radicands and fractions with non-zero denominators must be considered. - Examples show finding the domain as the set of possible inputs and the range as the set of possible outputs for different relations and equations.

Domain and
Range
DOMAIN
It is a set of first coordinates.

RANGE
It is a set of second coordinates.
Note: Presented below are some restrictions to consider
when finding the domain and range of some functions
that involve the following:
1. Radicals with even indices : Radicands must be
nonnegative (i.e. radicand is greater than or equal to
zero).
2. Fractions : Denominators must not be equal to zero.
