LESSON ACTIVITY
Fair Testing
Gabriel blew up some balloons with air and tied them along a
fence in his backyard to see what happened to them in sunlight.
Some balloons were in the shade of the tree.

QUESTIONS (COMPONENT 4B)
Q2. How should he do to determine accurately the
size of the balloons?

QUESTIONS (COMPONENT 4B)
Q3. What are some of the things that Gabriel needs
to consider to make sure that his experiment is
a fair test?
All the balloons he is using must be the same type and the same
size to begin with.
He must use the same method to measure size of the balloons
and the same thermometer to measure the temperature each time.
He must do the experiment all on the same day so that the
weather conditions are the same for all the measurements.
He could keep some balloons inside to checkthe effects of outside
conditions on balloons.
